CISPR Product family standards and updates of CISPR 16
Product family standards
Most of these are emission standards but a few are about immunity. It isn't practicable to review them individually, because the detail matters, so a synopsis could be very misleading. However, I can try to answer individual enquiries addressed to EMCIA. One enquiry that isn't answerable because the detail may matter is 'What is the difference between the latest edition and the previous one'. But you can find much of the answer before you buy the new edition. The public part of the IEC web site is valuable.
Go to the IEC web site www.iec.ch and enter the standard number in the Webstore search box. When the standard shows up, click on its number, which leads you to a page of details. Click on 'Preview', next to the heading 'Abstract'. You can either save or view the preview as a PDF. You can see changes to the Contents and if you scroll down further to the Foreword, you can see text explanations of the major changes.
Most of these standards are adopted unchanged by CENELEC by prefixing the CISPR number by 'EN550', for example 'EN 55016-1-1'. 'Stability date' means the earliest date at which a new version is expected to be published. Unfortunately, the term is often misunderstood to mean the earliest date at which work on a new version can start. Informally, work can start at any time, but officially, it can start when the CDV has been circulated. It's best if the committee circulates a DC (Document for Comment) to National Committees (NCs), announcing the start of work and asking for proposals and for the NC to review their participation, i.e. replace an inactive member or add additional members.

CDV(First voting stage) closes February 2018
|
|
CISPR 36 will be: Electric and hybrid road vehicles - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement for the protection of off-board receivers below 30 MHz
Updates of CISPR 16
These two Sections of CISPR 16 have recently been updated. 'CSV' means 'Consolidated Version'. Quite often, amendments are so complicated that it isn't practicable to use the standard and the amendment as separate documents. A consolidated version is much easier to use.
CISPR 16-1-2:2014+AMD1:2017 CSV
Specification for radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus and methods - Part 1-2: Radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus - Coupling devices for conducted disturbance measurements
CISPR 16-2-1:2014+AMD1:2017 CSV
Specification for radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus and methods - Part 2-1: Methods of measurement of disturbances and immunity - Conducted disturbance measurements
